To listen to President Biden, former President Obama, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Elizabeth Warren, and others in the political hierarchy, you'd think that the greatest threat to world peace is “global warming” (a/k/a climate change).  Do you believe them, or should you believe them?

Yes, there are climate catastrophes that occur around the world that cause death, injury, and destruction to innocent people and property, and that has been going on since recorded history, even before the use of fossil fuels was the main energy source in our country and around the world. Even this summer we have seen heat waves around the world and in the United States. Isn't Mother Nature responsible, not man- made global warming, for these climate Armageddons, of course, so how can man control Mother Nature?  The short answer is “he can't”.

Realistically, can these “doom and gloom” climate change agitators prove that they can prevent tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, droughts, floods, forest fires caused by lightening, and a host of other dire happenings that occur every year somewhere around the world? Is doing away with fossil fuels, the main culprit that is at the top of the list of the climate change fanatics, going to prevent any of those above catastrophes from happening? If you answer yes, then I have a bridge in Brooklyn I'd like to sell you.

What's amazing is that if you question these “chicken little's” and “doom and gloomers”, you are deemed an “evil” climate change denier, and in some cases, are deemed to be subject to criminal charges (ex: Sen. Sheldon Whiteside of Rhode Island, once proposed a bill to make “ climate change deniers” subject to R.I.C.O. Statutes).  Can you imagine, so-called intelligent politicians (and citizens), who want to prosecute others who have a different view from theirs regarding climate, that they are to be considered possible criminals? 

Is that a rational mindset?

Around the world today, we have Islamist terrorists cutting off heads, burning people alive, raping women and young girls etc. and those “global warming” fanatics claim that man-made global warming is the greatest threat to mankind today? Not China, Russia, North Korea, Iran etc., but climate change. You can't make this stuff up.

The data has shown that for the past 20 years, or so, we have been in a global cooling period, and that the disastrous consequences that they have predicted over the years were just erroneous speculation based on false emotion and not on scientific fact.  Al Gore won a Nobel Prize for his movie, “An Inconvenient Truth”, but after close scrutiny, the film was discredited and deemed factually incorrect in many of its claims. He claimed that the polar ice caps were melting so fast that that happening will cause lower Manhattan Island to be underwater in a few short years.  Well, that doomsday scenario has passed a number of years ago, and still Manhattan has not been submerged under water. Al Gore also claimed that man-made global warming was “settled science”, but many highly reputable climatologists, over the years, have debunked the theory put forth by Al Gore and other climate change alarmists.  Some prominent “deniers” are Dr. Richard Lindzen, meteorologist and Alfred P. Sloan professor of climatology at M.I.T. ; Dr. Timothy Ball, former meteorology professor at the Univ. of Winnipeg; and the late John Coleman, meteorologist and founder of the “Weather Channel”, who once called the theory of man-made global warming “the biggest scientific scam in history”.  Should those prominent scientists be subject to criminal charges because they question the man-made global warming theory?  Might that not go against the 1st Amendment of the U.S. Constitution?

So, when our leaders claim that “climate change” is the greatest threat to civilization, you have to wonder about their mental states.  As the old saying goes, “You can't fool Mother Nature”, overrides any claim that man can change the environment.

The one thing we can control, as humans, is in keeping the planet free of debris and toxic waste, that should be our main concern, not climate change.

The catchword in liberal circles today is the term “diversity”.  A few years ago the catchphrases were:  affirmative action, racial preferences, and racial and ethnic quotas.  Since those terms were not warmly embraced by many in the general public, the “diversity” proponents have latched onto the term “diversity” as a more moderate acceptable term to overcome the negatives that those other terms conveyed.

The term, “E Pluribus Unum”, was and is a traditional motto of the United States that appears on the “Great Seal” and on some of our currency.  This motto was never codified by law, but it was the “de facto” motto of the United States until 1956 when the U.S. Congress adopted the phrase “In God We Trust” as the official motto.  So, even from the beginning of our democratic republic, the main idea of the founding fathers was “unity” not “diversity”.

No one that I know, decries a person or persons venerating their heritage, their ethnicity or family traditions, in fact, we encourage it, but we all must remember that to be an American, a person must adhere to the traditions, the language (English), the laws (both federal and state) that have made us the pre-eminant country in the world today.  “Balkanization” (the act of being isolated from others in your own community) of the populace is not conducive to a harmonious society.  People coming into our country should strive to assimilate into our society and not set themselves apart from other Americans.  As the original motto of the U.S. Stated, “E Pluribus Unum” (out of many, one) was propagated by our founders,  it was the blueprint for the success of the United States.

Another phrase that points up the fallacy of the concept of “diversity” is the phrase, “United We Stand, Divided We Fall”.  Many civilizations in the past have succumbed by not having “unity” as their guiding principle.  The fall of the Greek Civilization and the Roman Empire are good examples of countries imploding from within rather than by mostly foreign invasion.  Look at our recent history  where “disunity” has caused revolt and unrest.  The division that existed in Canada, between the English speaking and French speaking provinces, was a major cause of contention among those provinces where, at one time, one part wanted to secede from the country to form their own country.  That division has been mitigated in recent years.  Also, the division that existed between Protestant Northern Ireland and Catholic Ireland, was a violent separation, which lasted almost 100 years.  Tensions are less today, but they still exist.  And look at Europe today where “diversity” has been the rule the past decades or so, and now most of the countries are suffering because the immigrants that have migrated to their countries, to create “diversity”, have not assimilated and have caused havoc among the permanent residents.  Predictions are that Europe will be no longer Europe the way we know it now, as the immigrant population will become the majority unless a major turnaround can occur. Are we, the United States, headed for that same result due to our “Open Border” policy we have instituted the past couple of years? The “diversity” concept has bitten them and possibly us in the butt big time.

So, the headline of our editorial, “Diversity Equals Perversity” (Perversity being defined as an action that is counter to what has been expected or desired; being contrary to the norm), should be a wake up call for America to not get caught into the trap of thinking that “diversity” instead of “unity” should be the direction our country should take.  Our country is and has been a “melting pot” since its inception, within reason, as previous immigrants, by and large, assimilated into society.  As a counterbalance to “diversity”, we should all be united by adhering to the precepts of one language, one constitution, and one rule of laws, as the unifying concept that will continue to make and keep America the greatest country in the world and that “Shining City upon the Hill”. We should all be Americans, not Irish-Americans, African-Americans, Asian -Americans, German-Americans, Jewish Americans, etc., we should all be just plain, good old, patriotic Americans.

Parents around the country are organizing and raising their voices to try to bring sanity back into their school's curriculum by getting rid of of the non-educational social indoctrination put forth in many of our 'educational' institutions. One such group, the “Mom's for Liberty”, was put on the infamous terrorist list of the radical SPLC (Southern Poverty Law Center).  Imagine, wanting your children to get a sound, well-rounded agenda-free education and then being considered terrorists by a Marxist/Socialist bigoted pseudo “freedom” group, is the height of insanity?

What has happened in our education systems that has motivated many parents to demonstrate and question the various school boards and college officials on what they are presenting as valid education fodder for their captive audience of students?  The “Woke” ideology that was exposed as being taught in our schools during the COVID shutdown of schools, has enlightened parents about what their children were learning in our schools.  They didn't like what they witnessed as to what was being foisted upon their children, and claimed it was a form of indoctrination not education.

Look at the Baltimore public schools and what has happened to the students attending schools in Baltimore  -  all schools report that no students met grade level proficiency in math, reading, and science.  As the old saying goes, “A mind is a terrible thing to waste”. Many other school systems around the country, mostly in “Blue” states and cities, are facing similar results as the “Woke” indoctrination continues. 

One of the biggest culprits in this educational decline comes from an unexpected area  -  the teacher's unions.  Our students basically lost 2 years of education by having many schools closed through the efforts of the teacher's unions insisting that the schools remain closed because of the unfounded fear of the spread of COVID.  Remote learning proved to be an utter failure in place of person-to-person learning within the schools.  AFT teacher union President Randi Weingarten was the foremost advocate for keeping schools closed.  This bad decision by the union and Weingarten was destructive and bad enough, but Randi Weingarten has now been rewarded by being appointed by the Biden Administration to the position on the HSAC (Homeland Security Academic Partnership Council), whose job it is to advise the Department of Homeland Security on school safety.  This ill-advised appointment is like putting a Jan. 6 rioter in charge of Capitol security? This is another example of the “Peter Principle” being alive and well in Washington D.C. (the “Peter Principle” is promoting people up to their level of incompetence).

Instead of our education institutions giving their students a meaningful background in the basics of reading, writing, arithmetic and science, they take valuable education time in pushing a social justice curriculum such as CRT (Critical Race Theory), attacks on our system of capitalism, downplaying our religious heritage, and championing the gay and transgender lifestyle.  Is that preparing our students to succeed in real life situations?  Critical Race Theory promotes “class conflict” as articulated by the father of communism, Karl Marx. In order to “sugarcoat” this divisive ideology, the radical proponents use the term “equity” (in place of “equality”) which is nothing more than reformulated Marxism, or the equal sharing of misery.  

When Barack Obama was president, he stated that he wanted to “fundamentally change” the United States system, which implied that our system of free enterprise capitalism was outmoded and an oppressive system.  The Biden Administration has carried forth and expanded upon Obama's words and actions. One aspect of this push to change is to emphasize “race” in place of class, thereby causing a divide and conquer mindset within the United States among the races. Now, anytime time you disagree with a radical liberal, you are then designated a “racist”, whether warranted or not.

We must not let these anti-American radical individuals and groups succeed in nullifying our constitution and system of free enterprise capitalism. We must remain, in the eyes of the world, that “Shining city on the hill”, that promotes freedom and liberty, and not oppressive totalitarianism. Put Critical Race Theory, and other “Woke” theories on the scrap heap of history and bring commonsense back into our lives.

Ever since President Trump was elected president and up till today, over 2 years since he left office, his prime antagonist has been the partisan miscreant, Rep. Adam Schiff of California.  Day after day, week after week, and year after year, he has been making anti-Trump comments which have been totally debunked over and over again.  It has now led to the House of Representatives voting a “Censure” of Adam Schiff for his actions as Judiciary Committee Chairman during the Russia-Russia hoax and beyond.

Why the animus toward President Trump?  Who knows, except that Adam Schiff is a dyed-in-the-wool dishonest, liberal Democrat politician who rued the day that Trump was elected over his candidate, Hillary Clinton.  He considered Trump to be an illegitimate president and still does.

All during the discredited Mueller Investigation, Adam Schiff was proclaiming that President Trump was guilty of Russian collusion (a/k/a conspiracy), and that the evidence was “in plain sight” and he had the evidence to prove it.  Besides those false proclamations, Schiff was accused of being the primary leaker of information emanating from the House Judiciary Committee closed door hearings. It was funny that testimony and information from the “closed door” sessions of the committee was broadcast in the media almost before the transcripts were written up on the hearing.  Most all these leaks had an anti-Trump spin attached.  It seems that Adam Schiff never met a camera he didn't like.  It has been observed that one of the most dangerous places to be at was between a camera and Adam Schiff.

As one of the leading spokesmen of the discredited Trump/Ukraine brouhaha, it was Adam Schiff who lied about Trump or his staff meeting with a so-called “whistle blower” beforehand (a faux whistle blower who had no first hand knowledge of Trump's phone call with the then newly elected Ukrainian President Zelensky).  In his past position of Majority Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, he was supposed to be the person in charge of having the committee gather information without pre-conceived bias, but it seems that he had been both judge and jury in proclaiming that Trump was guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors worthy of impeachment.  He has been accused of being in charge of a “Kangaroo Impeachment Inquiry”, totally bereft of fairness toward the president and his fellow Republicans on that committee.

The whole made-up impeachment inquiry was the answer to the failed Mueller Report that cleared Trump from any involvement of colluding with the Russians, and verified recently by the Durham Report.  It was a “Frame-Up” from the git-go and was a continuation of the failed Mueller Report.  You could say that the “benign” Ukraine phone call was the catalyst for trying to continue to attach presidential malfeasance for the purpose of impeaching President Trump for high crimes and misdemeanors.  A joke.

Even after the John Durham Report was presented that proved that the whole Russia-Russia collusion was a big nothing about Trump's involvement, it actually showed it was Hillary Clinton and the Democrat National Committee who were the one's behind the false narrative.  Still, Adam Schiff is still trying to justify his misbehavior in continuing to insist Trump was involved in the Russian hoax and has no regrets about his disingenuous actions. 

Never in our history of the Republic, had a president of the United States been subjected to such harassment and false charges by the opposing party, solely for partisan political considerations.  The Democrats and Adam Schiff can't get over the fact that they lost the election (and power) in 2016, and that President Trump was attempting to “drain the swamp”.  Adam Schiff, Jerrold Nadler, and Nancy Pelosi and the rest of the gaggle of losers among the Democrats, and their lackey's in the media, should be ashamed of themselves for then trying to unseat a duly elected president as payback for winning the election and now trying to prevent him for running for president in 2024.  It seems like Wash. D.C. is being overrun, not by mice, but by overgrown rats masquerading as public servants headed up by Adam Schiff and his gaggle of partisan miscreants.
