Chuck on the right side
THIS IS A BLOG THAT TRIES TO APPEAL TO THE AVERAGE CONSERVATIVE CITIZEN AND HAS NO AGENDA OTHER THAN TELLING THE TRUTH AS WE SEE IT.
Mohammed Saeed al Sahhaf, who was dubbed as “Baghdad Bob”, was the media and Foreign Affairs minister under Iraqi President Saddam Hussein during the 1st Gulf War. His claim to “fame” was his overly unreal, optimistic reports of how the Iraqi military was successfully opposing the invading American forces, as they advanced on the capital city of Baghdad. He claimed that the American forces were going to surrender and give up the fight. A totally loony assessment that earned him the sobriquet of “Baghdad Bob”.
Well, here we are today with a major invasion of illegal immigrants on our southern border, with a projected 2 million illegals coming into our our country by the end of the year, and being processed by an overwhelmed, overworked Border Patrol, as the Biden Administration sits idly by as this invasion takes place. With daily sightings of masses of people coming over our border practically unhindered, our Secretary of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas, has claimed that our border is “secure” and getting more secure by the day. There is an old expression that sort of contradicts that lie, it goes like this, “Who are you going to believe, me or your lying eyes”? It's not only Mayorkas who makes these outrageous statements, but most of the people in the Biden Administration, including our supposed “Immigration Czar”, Vice-President Kamala Harris, who has not even visited our southern border to see first-hand what is happening down there. Never have we seen such outrageous comments by our government officials. You have to wonder as to what planet they are living on to be so blind? The states of Texas and Arizona are facing this onslaught of illegals with little or no help from the federal government. The border towns and residents in these impacted areas are reeling from the invasion of the illegal migrants. Damage to their property and farms and an increase in crime has escalated exponentially upon those citizens. Once the Border Patrol checks the illegals, the federal government, under the leadership of Mayorkas, gives the migrants cell phones, food, medical attention, and money, then they are put on buses and planes and sent around the country (mostly without notice to the states and cities) thereby, theoretically, making the whole country a “border town”. It seems the Biden Administration is tone deaf as to what is happening as the invasion continues uninterrupted on a daily basis. Texas Governor Abbott, in his frustration at the lack of action of the Biden Administration in stopping the flow of illegals, has taken it upon himself to bus many of the illegals to the “sanctuary” City of Wash. D.C. As a result, D.C. Mayor Bowser, has complained about the stress that has been heaped upon the city to provide shelter and services to the illegals. You could say that her complaints mirror the complaints of the border towns in Texas and Arizona. The “chickens are coming home to roost”, so to speak. So, the American version of the notorious “Baghdad Bob”, has made our border crisis a mockery of clear thinking. The incompetence of the Biden Administration, and Mayorkas in particular, is put front and center as to how not to govern in a rational manner. Secretary Mayorkas, and other weak, misguided government officials in the Biden Administration, should be relieved of their duties as they are unable to perform their jobs and duties for the benefit of the American public in a competent manner. It seems we have too many “Baghdad Bob's” in our government. A good housecleaning should happen this November so that we could become, as former President Ronald Reagan once said, “America is a shining city upon a hill whose beacon light guides freedom-loving people everywhere”. God bless the United States as we try to survive the incompetence of the Biden Administration. Conservative Commentary by Chuck Lehmann

Is Joe Biden at that stage in life where it is time to take the car keys away? The more you see how he handles his duties as President, the more you feel he is not up to the job. Yes, he is 79 years old, which a normal person at that age might have slowed down a bit, but a sane, healthy person could handle the problems that face him/her in an efficient competent manner. But, ole Joe doesn't seem to meet the standards of a person, of that age in the position that he holds, when it comes to being able to act in a normal, rational manner. His cognitive capacity seems to have diminished and it seems to be getting worse instead of better.
If you publicly make those comments, like I just made, you will be challenged as an “ageist” or a mean spirited Republican. Really? It seems the lackey apologists in the left-wing media are slowly coming to the conclusion that, their hero who they supported enthusiastically for President, is now a drag on their favorite Democrat brand as his approval poll numbers have hit a low of 33%, with the possibility of that number going even lower. It looks like the rats are jumping off a sinking ship. If the mid-term elections produce an election blowout for the Republicans (as most pundits predict), I'm sure that the 25th Amendment might be discussed as to whether or not it should be invoked (an Amendment to provide for the removal of the President). Remember, that threat was talked about when Trump was in office. Many of the Biden supporters (and the anti-Trump haters) seem to be having “buyers remorse”, as the policies of Biden go slowly into the proverbial dumper, as they thought they were getting a calm, experienced veteran politician who was going to unite the country, but as it turns out, just the opposite is happening. Biden is a disaster. He was supposed to be a calming influence after 4 years of turmoil during the Trump Presidency, a turmoil fueled by incessant attacks on Trump and his administration during Trump's time in office. Before Joe Biden was elected, with the help of Silicon Valley, social media, the main stream media, and the partisan election operatives within the major battleground states, he was known to be a perpetual gaffe machine and a politician with little or no core beliefs. In fact, former Defense Secretary in the Obama/Biden administration, Robert Gates, said in Biden's 40 years in government, I paraphrase, “He has been wrong on most all foreign policy matters”. So far, Joe Biden seems to be fulfilling Robert Gates evaluation as he tries to perform his duties as President. He seems to be the poster boy for “Murphy's Law”. Who knows what will happen during the remainder of the Biden Presidency? As things seem to be going, it looks like it'll be nothing but downhill for Biden, his administration and our country. The only thing that's working in Biden's favor is that if he goes, the next in line is Vice- President, Kamala Harris, a politician with an even lower approval rating than Biden. God help the United States. Conservative Commentary by Chuck Lehmann Have you listened to President Joe Biden lately, it seems that no matter what goes wrong in his Administration, he blames someone or something else? It seems it is never his fault, even though he's the president.
It was former President Harry Truman who had a desk sign that said: “ The Buck Stops Here”, but according to Joe Biden the “buck” never gets to his desk. It is either arrogance or stupidity, or a combination of both, that he avoids the “buck” at all costs, almost on a daily basis. You have to wonder how a person in his exalted position could, with a straight face, avoid responsibility for the demise of most all of his decisions? When, during the campaign for President, Joe Biden declared war on the fossil fuel industry, he said he wanted to get rid of all fossil fuels and to transition to “Green Energy”. After he was sworn in as President, he doubled down and reinforced, with his acts and rhetoric, his desire to institute the “Green New Deal” which was being pushed by the Marxist/Socialist wing of the Democrat Party, represented by Bernie Sanders, AOC, the Squad and John Kerry, with the help of other leftist Democrats, and those climate change fanatics wonder why the price of gasoline is over $5.00 per gallon? Most scientists and economists say that we will not be able to power our economy with just “Green Energy”, for now or in the immediate future. They say it would be a “fools errand” to put all our efforts into trying to make the unreliable renewable energy sources as the primary fuels to power our economy. Can you imagine our airline industry trying to power their planes with battery powered engines? Or our trucking fleets using batteries in all their trucks as they try to deliver the food and goods that are required to serve our country, and that our citizens require and need? We are now in the throes of an inflation and supply chain disaster, but according to Joe Biden, none of that is his fault. He blames Putin, the oil industry and others for this double whammy, but never blames his destructive, ignorant policies for any of it. It's like he has “blinders” on and living on another planet. Things started to go downhill, which by the way Donald Trump predicted would happen, when Biden took office. Biden, in his hatred and pique about anything Trump, rescinded most of the working policies of Trump, the policies which were working for the benefit of the American people. It was a “scorched earth” policy, that as a result, has produced the economic demise and dilemma we are now facing today, and for which it looks like we'll be saddled with the rest of his term in office. It seems he is beholden to the extreme of his party who would come down on him, like a ton of bricks, if he tried to change policy by using economic common sense, instead of following many of the ideas in the Karl Marx playbook. Since Biden will be in office for the next 2 ½ years (unless his fellow Democrats realize that he is leading them into political oblivion, and will try to get rid of him, for who Kamala Harris?), it is important for the Republicans and Independents to try to put the brakes on his destructive policies by getting rid of Biden's lackey's in the House and Senate this coming November. Biden seems to be the poster boy for “Murphy's Law”, as it seems that most everything Biden says or does (including walking up stairs or riding a bike) is the opposite of success. From the looks of most polls and recent elections, it seems that people are beginning to realize that Biden is not up to doing the job of being President and that elections do have consequences, as former President Obama had once said. We all make mistakes, but when those mistakes make life unbearable and the president refuses to take responsibility, it is time for a change, and the time is this November by voting for a Republican majority in the House and the Senate. Now go do the right thing with your vote. We have a country to save! Conservative Commentary by Chuck Lehmann An undisciplined unleashed dog will run amok. Roe v Wade was an undisciplined unleashed unconstitutional law, that needed to be brought back to the states for the people to determine its disposition under the Constitution.
Abortion on demand has been open to abuse and needed to be leashed, because too many lawless un-American liberals, without discipline. Allow emotions to run amok. With an estimated 63 million abortions since Roe v Wade, I think it appropriate to apply some moral structure to it. I wonder if pro choice women who have carried out an abortion, regret not having children of their own with the passing of time? Shouts from the ignorant cry out that democracy is dead, because of the SCOTUS ruling. I say democracy is alive because of the ruling by the Supreme Court. Progressives are ignorant of the Constitution and accept the legitimacy of law only when it suits them. Roe v Wade was not protected under the Constitution. It never followed procedure to become a ratified amendment added to the Constitution, requiring it to pass the House and Senate by a 2/3 majority. Then sent to the Governors of each state to be submitted to their legislatures for approval. Any proposed Amendment must be ratified by 3/4 of the 50 States to become part of the Constitution. Ignoring the facts, it appears the pro abortion demonstrators don't want to live under a government that represents all the people; but one that can fix an outcome for their own satisfaction, as suspected as to what happened in the 2020 election of president. It is just a matter of time before the demonstrators turn violent and ugly. I don't get angry, I get even, biding my time until the next election. Conservative Commentary by George Giftos |
