Chuck on the right side
THIS IS A BLOG THAT TRIES TO APPEAL TO THE AVERAGE CONSERVATIVE CITIZEN AND HAS NO AGENDA OTHER THAN TELLING THE TRUTH AS WE SEE IT.
Should President Trump be judged upon his personality and his personal peccadillo's, or should he judged on his performance in office? The main chant by his detractors is that he doesn't act presidential and is sometimes crude in his language, and that he is a braggart, a bully and a prevaricator (imagine a politician using those words on another?). Those criticisms might be true in some sense, but does that really affect the policies that he presents and institutes in order to “Make America Great Again”?
Since his inauguration, what have been his accomplishments? Do his detractors, mainly the “Never-Trumper's” (especially some Republicans) agree with his appointment of Judge Neal Gorsuch to the Supreme Court and his nomination of Judge Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court to fill the seat of Justice Kennedy; do they agree with his tax cuts whereby both rich and poor get a tax break; do they approve of his approval of the Keystone pipeline and his opening up of ANWR for future oil exploration; do they agree with his voiding of the business killing regulations that has hampered businesses for years; do they agree with his outreach to some of our international adversaries in China, No. Korea, and Russia in trying to avoid the next World War III; do they agree with his trying to crackdown on halting the flow of illegal aliens into our country, etc., etc.? Most likely the answer to these policies are positive, but still they criticize him with over the top rhetoric, not about his policies but against his personality and demeanor. This reminds me of an analogy of choosing a surgeon for a serious operation. Would you choose an experienced surgeon, with a lousy demeanor and a poor bedside manner, or would you choose a pleasant, inexperienced surgeon with a pleasant bedside manner? I'll bet the majority would choose the gruff surgeon, right? The same should be applied to President Trump in carrying out of his duties as the chief executive officer and the commander in chief of the United States. Remember, he is not your usual politician, he says what he means and means what he says. Can you say that about most politicians? This compulsive desire on the part of the Democrats and their flunky's in the news media (90% of all mention of Trump is negative), to hamper President Trump in anyway possible, is a stain on the country as a whole. Most of the vitriol against President Trump is based on extreme emotion rooted in the fact that they cannot accept the fact that he beat their anointed queen, Hillary Clinton, against all odds and all polls. From the beginning, the Democrats have instituted a “total resistance” plan to try to bring down President Trump and his administration, but the more “crazy” they act the higher President Trump's approval poll numbers go up. So, the personal attacks against the president seems to be discounted by most “sane” people in determining what is best for them and their families. He is flawed like all of us, including other recent presidents like John F. Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, Richard Nixon, and Bill Clinton, so these sanctimonious hypocrites who condemn the president personally, should be thankful that he is the president and not Hillary Clinton, who was primed to continue the failed polices of President Obama. We elected a leader, not a Pope! Conservative commentary by Chuck Lehmann

Although I'm not usually prone to using clichés, the born again radical left Democrats are ratcheting up the decibels of vicious condemnation on the President and using dangerous rhetoric against his family, because impeachment has turned out to be
a nothing burger. Over twenty-one hundred years ago there was a crucifixion, because someone tried to lay out a better path for the world. Today's Romans, the Democrats, having lost the impeachment battle, are now focusing their attempt on bringing Donald Trump down by political crucifixion and using the very same tactics of Nazism by accusing their detractors of being Nazis, because he is draining the swamp and restoring the hope of a better life that was lost in the demagoguery of Obama's vision for America, that tended to divide rather than unite. That offered a hand out, rather than a hand up. It is imperative to keep alert for signs, like the disturbing display against Homeland Security Sec. Kirsten Nielsen dining at a D.C. restaurant, that can expand to violence like the 1938 Kristallnacht. Conservative Commentary by George Giftos After over a year of investigating Pres. Trump for collusion with the Russians, nothing has been found to justify the narrative that Trump colluded (with intent to do harm to the USA and to the election process) with the Russians (zero, nada, nil, nothing). During the past year three members of the Obama security team, John Brennan, James Clapper, and James Comey, all said that they found no evidence that during the presidential campaign, and during the transition, that the Trump people or that Trump colluded with the Russians. When Trump won the election (against all odds), the cry of the astounded Democrats was that it was impossible that Trump, a political neophyte, should've or could've won the election fair and square over the anointed one, Hillary Clinton,. They came up with the phony charge that the Trump team must have colluded (conspired) with the Russians in efforts to undermine the Clinton campaign and the election. There was no proof then, only assumptions, and there has been no proof up till now, even after over one year, that the Russians colluded with Trump. The whole thing is a “collusion delusion”.
It seems that the Democrats and the “Never-Trumpers” (including some disgruntled Republicans), are throwing anything up against the wall hoping that something negative about Trump and his administration will stick, and which might then lead to his impeachment or resignation from office. The only Russian collusion was not perpetrated by Trump, it was really perpetrated by Pres. Obama, Hillary Clinton and the DNC. Starting with the ridiculous “reset” button that Clinton used as a P.R. stunt with the Russians; the comment made to the then Russian President Medvedev, by Pres. Obama, “Tell Vladimir, that after my re-election (in 2012) I would have more flexibility in dealing with him”; the signing off on the Uranium One deal by Hillary and Obama's other cronies, which turned over 20% of our uranium deposits to the Russians; to the fact that her husband, former president Bill Clinton, got a $500,000 speaking fee, around the time of the Uranium One deal, by a Russian bank with ties to the Kremlin and Putin, in addition to a $140 million donation to the Clinton Foundation; and to the seeming total indifference of the Obama Administration to the Russian expansion in Ukraine and the financing and the encouraging of anti-Ukraine rebels; and finally, with the payment of $12 million to the Fusion GPS group, with ties to Russian operatives, by the Clinton campaign and the DNC to get salacious and negative phony information against Trump (called the “Dossier”) which was used to get the O.K. by the FISA Court to spy on Americans associated with the Trump campaign. These actions show that the real Russian collusion was not with Pres. Trump, but with the Obama Administration, the Clinton campaign and the DNC. Pres. Trump has called the whole Mueller investigation a “witch hunt”, and it looks like he was correct that this whole collusion scenario was a “put-up job” by Trump's enemies to undermine his administration, including high ranking officials in the Obama Justice Department and the FBI (ex: Peter Strzok, James Comey, and Andrew McCabe), two agencies that were supposed to be non-partisan and above the fray. Now that the Trump-Russian collusion scam has turned out to be just that, the Democrats and the “Never-Trumpers” have latched onto the claim of a lack of mental capacity of Pres. Trump. It seems nothing will satisfy their addiction to bringing down Pres. Trump at any cost. The truth be damned. Finally, the Justice Department. has started to re-open the investigation of the real scandals that have its roots in the “Washington Swamp”, the crimes committed by the Clinton's and Clinton flunky's in the government whose main job over this past year was the undermining of the Trump Administration. Let's hope the Republicans, including two of Trump's appointees, Attorney General, Jeff Sessions, Ass't. AG Rod Rosenstein, and FBI Director, Chris Wray, do not get cold feet and that they continue to root out the “deep state” operatives that have caused so much division in our our government and in the politics of the country. The “Collusion Delusion” hopefully will pass against Pres. Trump and that it will show that the real collusion with the Russians was between the Obama Administration, the Hillary Clinton campaign, and the DNC. Conservative commentary by Chuck Lehmann First, let's define what a “Blue Dog” Democrat is (or was). A “Blue Dog” Democrat is a member of Congress who is moderate or more conservative in their voting record and political philosophy than the other, more liberal, Democrats in the House and Senate.
There was a time when both Democrats and Republicans would bury their political differences over a beer after working hours - but no more. Those were the days and the “heyday” of the group of Democrats called the “Blue Dogs”. Yes, they even voted for legislation that Republicans brought up for a vote, and vice-versa as Republicans voted for Democrat bills. Those days are gone. There was a time when politicians could agree to disagree in a friendly manner, and it seemed to work quite well until the election of 2000, and it has evolved and deteriorated to the unworkable situation we have today in both houses of Congress. Verbal venom, where one side blasts the other side for seemingly no other reason that the other person or party is in the opposition. No matter if the topic at hand is good for our country, since the other party is in favor of it, makes it a non-support item on the agenda. With each passing election cycle, from 2000 on, the Democrats have veered to the far-left of mainstream thought and the “Blue Dog” Democrats have become fewer and fewer, whereas today there isn't any left to speak of. This lunge to the far-left has put the Democrats at a real disadvantage among the more moderate voting public. Yes, the Republicans have members who can be considered members of the far-right, but they do not dominate the party as a whole, President Trump does. Just recently, with the rise of socialist Bernie Sanders and his Marxist/Socialist agenda and its appeal to millennial's, the moderate Democrats in the Democrat Party have become almost non-existent. In fact, the primary election that was just held in Brooklyn, an avowed socialist won the primary over a 20 year Democrat incumbent congressman. She was and is an advocate and vocal supporter of the Bernie Sanders wing of the Democrat Party (even though Bernie is an Independent who caucus's with the Democrats). Many pundits feel that this huge tilt to the left is a “death wish” for the Democrat Party because, as much as socialist oriented candidates play up the “freebies” and entitlements from the government coffers agenda, the majority of voters do not accept that agenda in sufficient numbers, as of now. That's why Donald Trump was elected and not Hillary Clinton. The Democrat “establishment” is worried that the “Blue Wave”, that was predicted for the mid-term elections in November, is being nullified by many of their candidates leaning toward the socialist agenda. Most of the American people are not that enthused (except for the millennial's) in substituting socialism for capitalism as of now. That would be an anchor around the necks of Democrats running for office this November. The Democrats point out that the Republicans have a schism in their party also, and they say that balances off the schism in their party. The ace in the hole for the Republicans is that they have a populist president in Pres. Trump who, even though the media is 90% against him and the Democrats 100%, he has a strong voting base among both Republicans and Independents, and some Reagan Democrats, to offset any major defections. I predict that the leftward lurch of the Democrat Party will result in a big victory for the Republicans in November, as people do not want to become another Cuba or Venezuela. So, may the “Blue Dog” Democrats R.I.P., and hope that a big election set back in November will turn the party around and become a more moderate political party that will attempt to bring them back into power. It might just be wishful thinking on their part, not reality. Conservative commentary by Chuck Lehmann Anything carried to extremes is never good. It is fanaticism. We are living in a very dangerous world; not effected from outside of our country, but from within. It is a parasite born from the hard left, living as a legitimate force, but eating away the very core of what made us the envy of the rest of the world.
We have to be cautious, because envy can raise ugly reaction against success. It is flaring up in individuals who want what other people earn and are vilifying the one man, duly elected, to rectify the wrong that has been nourishing this parasite. Recent events and rhetoric is meant to spark violence against the President and anyone employed or in agreement with him. Supplying the nourishment are special interest groups, naïve tree hugging do-gooders, dead beats and other scavengers preying on the productive contributors to society for personal gain and smuggish esteem. We are all susceptible in some degree to hypocrisy in our advocacies, but it is ramped with many progressives. It is apparent by the shallow defense of the separation of illegals and their children, which is mostly a protest against President Trump, than empathy for the children, when they have no hesitation to end the heart beat of a child in the womb, or seconds out of it. They are guilty of hypocrisy by applying double standards to the First and Second amendments. 20/20 vision in the 2020 election is imperative to see the negatives our country will suffer if we allow the socialist parasite to metastasize in our Judeo/Christian traditions. Conservative Commentary by George Giftos That's an admonition that most celebrities in Hollywood and thespians on Broadway should take advantage of. Most are infected with “foot-in-mouth disease”, especially when it comes to President Trump and the Republicans. Starting with that fading starlet, Madonna, right after Trump's inauguration, when she so rudely said she wanted to burn down the White House because Pres. Trump now lived there. Then we had that 3rd rate comedian, Kathy Griffin, who thought that showing the bloody severed head of President Trump, that she was making a positive political statement. Just recently, we had another 3rd rate talk show host, Samantha Bee, calling Ivanka Trump a “c..t” (a word which rhymes with runt) for no apparent reason other than for shock value. Also, the cast of “Hamilton”, tried to show that they were on the cutting edge of political dialogue by faking the execution of President Trump while V-P Mike Pence was in the audience. A really classy performance, NOT? Not to be outdone, we have that washed up, now “B” actor, Robert DeNiro, as a presenter at the Tony Awards, who used his face time by saying “F..k Trump”, and the audience clapped and cheered. And just recently, we had that filthy-mouthed HBO star, Bill Maher, saying that he hoped that our country would go into recession so that they could vote President Trump out of office in 2020. Another “loose lipped” fading star, Peter Fonda, stated that Barron Trump, the president's 12 year old son, should be torn from his mothers arms and put in a cage with pedophiles. If the vicious rhetoric couldn't get any worse, we were confronted with two of President Trump's close advisers, Director of Homeland Security, Kirstjen Nielsen, and White House Press Secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, had their privacy violated, by harassing Ms. Nielsen in a restaurant and forcing her to leave her meal, and, at another restaurant, Sarah Huckabee Sanders was asked to leave a restaurant, with her family. Their crimes, according to this “mob mentality”, was that they worked for the Trump Administration and therefore, they must be confronted and humiliated. And, not to be outdone, Florida Attorney General, Pam Bondi, was confronted, harassed and spit upon leaving the movie “Mister Rogers”. What is this country coming to? To top off this abuse, that left-leaning loon, the erstwhile Congresswoman Maxine Waters with the James Brown wig and a big mouth, is urging people to confront and harass any of President Trump's loyal workers, no matter where you see them, and then to get into their faces and try to shame them for working in the Trump Administration. What a disgrace that a member of Congress would stoop so low as to engage in that kind of vicious thoughts and actions? Never in all my many years have I seen such disrespect and verbal abuse heaped upon another politician, especially a sitting president. All this venom coming out of the mouths of these anti-Trumpers, does not bode well for our country in the future. Most of this bad behavior is coming mainly from the left-side of the political spectrum, and it looks like it will only get worse in the future, as many of these lefty loons in the media and in the Democrat Party are justifying this bad behavior. Remember, when you reward bad behavior, you get more of it. There might just be some “nut job” out there who will use these inflammatory words as a justification to physically act out their hatred because it has been sanctioned by some representative of our government, therefore, they will claim that they are just following orders. My advice to all these loony liberals is: “A closed mouth gathers no foot”, and that their actions will generate a backlash by the opposition, and the result might be another “civil war”. Let's hope common sense returns before it is too late. Conservative Commentary by Chuck Lehmann That statement, made famous by the legendary Yogi Berra, seems to relate to the recent Justice Department Inspector General's report on the operations of the FBI and the Justice Department, under the Obama Administration, in relation to Hillary Clinton's illegal e-mail server case and how it was handled. The report claims that there was “NO” bias by either the FBI or the Justice Department in that investigation of Hillary's illegal e-mail use of a private server as Secretary of State. Remember, that at the July 5, 2016 presentation on T.V. by then Director of the FBI, James Comey, who came before the public and listed a 13 minute presentation of the clear-cut illegal activities of Hillary Clinton that amounted to violations of law, but then in the last 2 minutes of his presentation of outlining her violations, he stated that a “reliable prosecutor” would not find that those violations constituted a crime and, therefore, he would not recommend an indictment of Hillary for committing those crimes.
Anyone of substance and a modicum of common sense realized at that time that “the fix was in”. It saved the candidacy of Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, which seems, as the report intimates, that this was the intent all along as her vindication was written by Director Comey 2 months before she was even interviewed by the FBI. Now, it looks like it was “deja vu” all over again with the Inspector General's report. In over 500 pages, the report relates a multitude of times that the top echelon of the FBI and Justice Department was working behind the scenes to undermine Donald Trump's campaign, and again after he was elected president. A rational person knows again that “the fix was in” in this case as well. But, the report claims that there was no bias in favor of Hillary Clinton. Really? How can these blatantly dishonorable activities have taken place at the highest level of law enforcement in our country? How did these people, in those high positions, get their jobs and how did they last in those jobs for so long? Good questions. The Democrats laugh at the claims by President Trump that the law is unfair and that some government agencies (the FBI and the Justice Department) were and are on a “witch hunt” in order to destroy the presidency of Donald Trump. So far, the Special Counsel, Robert Mueller, has spent over $17 million in an attempt to tie President Trump, and people in his Administration, to having colluded with the Russians to fix the 2016 election, with “NO” proof or no “quid pro quo's”, that anything illegal occurred. Robert Mueller is a “prosecutor in search of a crime” and, so far, nothing has been found to justify this waste of money in conducting this “witch hunt”. To me, this attempt at undoing a legally elected president and the overlooking of very visible crimes by Hillary Clinton, puts a stain on our government as it makes it clear that there is a double-standard of justice for the privileged and the political elites, and if this continues, it will further damage our democratic republic by people losing faith in our law enforcement agencies, not the rank and file, but the heads of those agencies who parlayed their political biases into action in trying to undermine our electoral process.
