Chuck on the right side
THIS IS A BLOG THAT TRIES TO APPEAL TO THE AVERAGE CONSERVATIVE CITIZEN AND HAS NO AGENDA OTHER THAN TELLING THE TRUTH AS WE SEE IT.
It's been over a month since Joe Biden was sworn in as President, so I'm wondering whether the electorate (especially the people who voted for him) have pangs of buyers remorse yet?
If you voted against Donald Trump because you didn't like his style, personality, and tweets, are you now thrilled with what Joe Biden has signed by “executive order” in turning back many of the policies which Trump put into effect during his term in office? Since Biden's shutdown of the Keystone Pipe Line (and his proposed closure of other pipe lines), the price of gasoline at the pump has risen precipitously and he has put some 10,000 workers on the unemployment line. Does that closure really address the problem of climate change (the Holy Grail of the Democrat Party) which they claim is a big polluter? The pipe line doesn't emit pollution, but now the oil will have to be transported by truck and rail which are known polluters, and, in addition, are a potential danger of causing oil spills due to accidents as the oil is transported. Another area of concern is his plan to let illegal aliens into our country without fear of being deported back to the country from whence they came from. How is this change of policy going to benefit our country? Besides importing educationally deprived people into our country, especially as we are economically reeling from the pandemic, this will create a pool of potential low-wage workers thereby bringing down the wages of American workers who will have to compete against them in the employment market. Another fear is that these illegals will be bringing with them some health issues into our country as we try to confront the deadly Chinese virus. What is the White House thinking? Under Trump, before the pandemic hit us from China, our economy was roaring along due to tax cuts and the elimination of restrictive regulations that were strangling businesses. Now with Biden's pen working overtime, he has or will negate most of the positive policies instituted by Trump. This will be a dagger in the heart of many businesses who have been reeling financially from the pandemics after effects. During Trump's administration, Trump pulled us out of two of President Obama's foreign policy mistakes, namely the Paris Climate Accords and the Iran Nuclear Deal. Now, Biden wants to resurrect these boondoggles by promising to re-enter these failed programs from the Obama administration. Trump pushed a policy of “America First” while Biden seems to be pushing an “America Last” policy. One has to wonder whatever happened to the “moderate” Joe Biden that he ran on as a candidate? Does he really know what he is signing or is he being the puppet of the left-leaning progressive puppeteers headed up by Bernie Sanders and the Squad? Karl Marx and Saul Alinsky must be smiling in their graves as Biden goes merrily on his way of unraveling the Trump policies. Again, I repeat, “Have You Had Enough Yet?” with the policies put forth by Biden and the Democrats? Will you finally say, “No,” by turning the House and Senate back to Republicans in 2022 to thwart the Democrats' radical proposals to transform America into a Marxist/Socialist country, similar to Cuba and Venezuela? Common sense must prevail. I hope it does. Conservative Commentary by Chuck Lehmann

Biden is unstable, to put it kindly. He has anger flashes at the slightest sign of opposition. I don't think he'll last more than another couple of months before being told by a physician that he has terminal hang-nails and must vacate the Oval Office. What follows Biden will be different but, even worse.
MORT Someone once said, “You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig”. The same can be said of Socialism. You can call it “Democratic Socialism”, but it is still “Socialism” no matter how hard you try to dress it up. Socialism has been tried for many years in many different countries and each time, it has failed, miserably. There's a reason why poor, oppressed people want to emigrate to capitalist countries. You don't see people fleeing the United States in search of a better life in Cuba or Venezuela, do you?
In Socialism, the government plays a significant role in determining how its people live and work. The concept of individual liberty is shunted aside and in its place is government control. Capitalist countries have produced the most prosperous economies and highest standards of living, throughout our world's history. Socialism, which promotes equal outcomes for all people, just doesn't work as the incentive to succeed is lacking, suppressed by the heavy hand of a big, oppressive government. Uniformity of outcome is almost an impossibility to achieve. Some people, depending on their desire to succeed will achieve, while others will not measure up. Yes, in capitalism, we will have rich people, and yes, we will have poor people. In a capitalist country, if a person has the desire and the will to take a chance, he/she has the opportunity to be successful and be financially secure. This is not possible in a Socialist system, unless you are part of the government hierarchy, a/k/a the ruling class elites. Examples today are the former Soviet Union and China. Look what has happened to Venezuela, a country that was once the most prosperous country in South America. After the Marxist/Socialist dictators of Chavez and Maduro took over, it has now become an “economic basket case” besides being a repressive society that has caused its citizens to flee the country in droves. In Venezuela, the rich elites got richer and the poor have gotten poorer, just the opposite of what the promoters of Socialism have been trying to shove down our throats. As the old saying goes, “You can't polish horse manure”. Today, we have the Democrat Party actively pushing “Democratic Socialism” with avowed socialist Bernie Sanders and newly minted members of the Squad (Cortez, Omar, Tlaib, and Pressley), pulling the strings behind a weak, puppet President Joe Biden, as he goes about signing one “executive order” after another with their encouragement. The Democrats realize that the terms “liberal and socialist” have its negative drawbacks, so that's why they try to hide behind the term “Progressive”. It's all “smoke and mirrors” as people sworn to the destruction of the United States. Leftist billionaires are trying to use their wealth to undermine our society. Good examples are billionaires George Soros, Tom Steyer, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, etc. using their vast wealth, which they made via a capitalist system, are now trying to elect “Progressive” local politicians (district attorney's and mayor's) as they work their way up the political chain. Remember, any government that is capable of giving you everything you need, is also powerful enough to take everything you have. Citizens, beware of the “snake oil” being pushed by the charlatan politicians promising the naive populace something for nothing and claiming that it is “Democratic Socialism” a misnomer if there ever was one. There's no such thing as a free lunch and there is no such thing as "Democratic Socialism." Conservative Commentary by Chuck Lehmann I was glad to see Donald Trump's defense lawyers, in the impeachment proceedings, concur with my observation that deceptive tactics were used by House managers prosecuting the case. When the facts of the case didn't fit the liberal news media's narrative, House managers resorted to presenting "fake news" as evidence. In their opening arguments, the Democrats showed excerpts from the Trump rally in D.C. on January 6th, which urged disenfranchised voters to walk peacefully to the Capitol in protest of being denied a free and fair election, whereby thousands of sworn affidavits showing discrepancies in voting standards and voter tabulations, were completely ignored.
These videos were edited and doctored to fit the left's narrative to the brink of fraud, by cutting short and eliminating passages in President Trump's speech, changing the meaning of his words, and superimposing the sound track from that speech, shouting "fight for Trump!" at the Presidents Park into the video, showing pre-planned organized rioters breaking in and doing minimal damage to the building. Which, by the way, was a far cry from the devastation inflicted by the ongoing BLM and Antifa riots that took place throughout 2020. You know, the riots that the fake news depicted as "peaceful demonstrations" in the states and cities run by democrat governors and mayors, following the controversial conclusion of George Floyd's death. You don't have to be an expert to detect the deception in the Democrat House manager's presentation, unless your bias has completely blinded you from seeing the obvious. The Democrats' endless tedious attempts to discredit and destroy Donald Trump has been beaten ad nauseam to avail, and showing no signs of any intention to stop. Conservative Commentary by George Giftos Back in 1969, author Laurence J. Peter, wrote a best-selling book called “The Peter Principle” in which the major thrust of his book was; “In a hierarchy, every employee tends to rise to his level of incompetence - in time every post tends to be occupied by an employee who is incompetent to carry out his duties”. Although his theory mainly pertained to companies and corporations, it could be applied to the government bureaucracy, and especially to our current occupant of the White House, President Joe Biden.
Joe Biden spent 47 years of his life in government service, mainly as a U.S. Senator and as VP under President Obama, with limited, lackluster achievements in both positions. The Democrats, who for four years, hated Donald Trump and his administration with a passion, recruited Joe Biden to run against him in the 2020 election. Word among the Democrat hierarchy, was that, of all the candidates looking to run against Trump, the nondescript, easily malleable Joe Biden had the best chance against the populist president, Donald Trump. During the Democrat primary, Joe Biden was mostly rejected by the voters in the early primary states in favor of the Marxist/Socialist Bernie Sanders. Panic set in and the forces in the party were organized to turn the tide for Biden in the South Carolina primary, with the grass roots help of Rep. Jim Clyburn (representing the black voters). The results in South Carolina resurrected the candidacy of Joe Biden who went on from there to garner the Democrat nomination over the hapless Bernie Sanders. What were the credentials of Joe Biden to be considered presidential material? You could say he was a good puppet candidate for the puppeteers in the Democrat Party. The party realized he was a weak candidate, so they had to maneuver the election laws and procedures around the country to orchestrate a Biden win in November. During the lead up to the election, a Corona virus from China was unleashed against us and the rest of the world, which the Democrats used as weapon against incumbent Donald Trump. Strategically, the Democrats knew the failings of Joe Biden (it is known that the 78 year old Biden has some cognitive issues) so they decided to keep him mostly holed up in his basement bunker at his home in Delaware. Meanwhile, the feckless Democrats were going about changing the election laws and procedures around the country so that many more Democrats could cast votes for Biden, either legally or illegally, especially in the “Battleground States” where the election was to be won or lost. The Democrats, with their shenanigans and outright manipulation of the election laws, were able to pull off a Biden "victory", along with their lackey's in the mainstream media and the high tech companies of Facebook, Twitter, and Google. Now that he's in office, Biden has embarked on a blitz of “Executive Orders” totally trying to undo all that Trump accomplished in his four years as President. This is where “The Peter Principle” kicks in. Being incompetent, it looks like he is being manipulated by the far-left extreme of his party to do their bidding to “totally transform America”, not for the better but for the worse. By the stoke of his pen he eliminated the jobs of tens of thousands of workers with his anti-fossil fuel policies, shutting down the Keystone Pipeline and canceling the energy leases on government lands. This policy alone, demonstrates his incompetency. Hello “Peter Principle”. In addition, another incompetent policy put forth by Joe Biden is his immigration policy, or really lack thereof. He has proclaimed that he will not deport illegals coming into our country, thereby encouraging the caravans forming below our Southern border to enter the country illegally. Also, he has put a stop on the construction of the border wall that has proved to be highly successful up until now in stopping the invasion of the illegals. Hello again, “Peter Principle”. If President Biden continues to be manipulated by the Bernie Sanders and the “Squad” faction of the party, his presidency will be a disaster and will hopefully result in a Republican takeover of the legislative branch of our government in 2022. So, you can see that “The Peter Principle” is alive and well in our country today, as the incompetents seem to have taken hold of our government (the asylum). Let's hope we can survive this incompetency until the next election. May God bless America. Conservative Commentary by Chuck Lehmann Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene was stripped of her committee assignments in the House of Representatives because she made some incendiary comments a few years ago which were not “politically correct”. Most people thought the comments she made were indefensible, and so did she, as she spoke before the House as they contemplated her fate. Her heartfelt apology was not heeded by the full contingent of Democrats and 11 Republicans.
The precedent set by one party relieving a member of the other party of their committee assignments, will one day come back to bite those in the butt who ignored her sincere apology, when the majority changes hands. Most all politicians have said things in the past that could be considered inflammatory, insulting, and downright libelous, but nothing was done like what they have done to Representative Greene. For example, Representative Maxine Waters has encouraged others to harass and get in the face of anyone who was associated with President Trump, and she has consistently harangued Trump as an illegitimate president all during his term in office. Nothing has been done to her. Adam Schiff, as head of the House Intelligence Committee, spent 3 years claiming he had irrefutable proof that Trump colluded with the Russians and Vladimir Putin. No proof was found by the Special Counsel that Trump colluded with the Russians. Schiff lied for three years, but nothing happened to him as he is still head of the Intelligence Committee. Then we have Representative Alcee Hastings, a Florida Congressman, who was impeached by the House because he lied about a bribe he took as a federal judge. Nothing has happened to him, he still is sitting on the committees he was assigned to. In the Senate, Senator Chuck Schumer, threatened dire consequences against Justice's Gorsuch and Kavanaugh if they didn't vote the way he wanted them to vote. Nothing happened to him. The list could go on and on pointing out the double standard used by the feckless Democrats, but you get the picture. This was a “political vote” trying to paint Republicans, as represented by Ms. Greene, as being partial to domestic terrorists and purveying kooky ideas, which seems to be the “talking points” of the vindictive Democrats and their flunky's in the dishonest media. As stated before, they very conveniently have overlooked the indiscretions of their own members. President Biden has been very vocal in proclaiming that he wants to unite the country, but he and the leaders of the Democrat party are doing just the opposite. He seems to be spouting empty platitudes trying to appease a fractured electorate. It appears that Biden is beholden to the far-left of his party by the way he is carrying out his pronouncements with his executive orders. The old expression, “my way or the highway” seems to be how his misnamed unity call has been interpreted. You can't conduct a vendetta against your political opponents and expect to get a unifying response. Compassion and forgiveness must not be abdicated for political expediency. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene should be given the same consideration as the Democrats have given their members. Her “mea culpa” should be given as a path for forgiveness. As the old saying goes, “people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones” and as the headline states, “Why is Redemption a Dirty Word to Democrats”? Conservative Commentary by Chuck Lehmann You hear that term bandied about as if it was a given that it is true. If this canard was true, how do you explain why people of color or ethnic differences continue to migrate here, legally or illegally? The term racist is used today by those who generally can be considered ”racial arsonists” like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, Minister Louis Farakkhan etc.
These racial hustlers pooh-pooh any advances that minorities make in our country because it doesn't fit their racial narrative of racial suppression. Tell that to Oprah Winfrey, the athletes in the NBA, NFL, and MLB. Ask the minority actors in Hollywood if they feel deprived? Ask the thousands of business CEO's, the thousands of elected officials throughout the country, or the many minorities who appear in the commercials on T.V. (it seems most every ad has a minority in it). When you make rules fair for everybody, the best people will achieve whatever their color or ethnic background. This is the United States, not the racist country depicted in the mainstream media and by the Democrat Party. Why are a sizable number of minorities failing to make a success of life? It could be that they have been inculcated in schools and by some community leaders that the world is against them due to “white privilege”, a misnomer if there ever was one. In minority neighborhoods the crime rates are out of sight and it isn't because of police brutality or “white privilege”, it is because the crimes are being committed by blacks against other blacks. The predominantly minority schools are not teaching when chaos reigns in the schools and in the neighborhoods making learning almost impossible, without a hint of “white privilege”. Another problem is that the “umbilical cord” between the black community and the Democrat Party has had a cause and effect as to why some fail to advance when the opportunities are there for the taking. The minority communities must get off the “Democrat Plantation” mentality and become more politically diverse, rather than being taken for granted by one political party. By demonizing “white” people as their oppressors, the minorities should be taking advantage of what our country has to offer and not be blaming others for their problems. Nobody objects to black people saying, "I'm proud to be African-American”. Nobody begrudges Asians, Latino's or any other minority from being proud of their heritage, but by telling people you're proud to be a white person, male, a Christian or straight, then see what happens? The terms racist, bigot, homophobe, nativist etc. roll off the lips of the sanctimonious elites who want to keep the races at each other throats. Racial or ethnic pride is either good or bad. I say it is bad when carried to an extreme when it promotes “Balkanization” between the various racial and ethnic groups. We must all have pride of being just an American, not a hyphenated American. The old expression that the “squeaky wheel gets the most grease” can be applied to the racial arsonists mentioned above. The term “minority” no longer carries the dictionary definition. It is now merely a label used to justify giving complainers anything they demand under penalty of being called a racist or a bigot. The old shakedown racket is used to threaten public companies to “donate” to their group unless they want to be picketed or threatened with economic sanctions if they don't comply. We, as a country, must address this problem or we'll lose many of our young people who think that crime is easier than doing the right thing because our country is a racist country. We must fight this false narrative that the United States is a “systemic racist” country. Conservative Commentary by Chuck Lehmann |
