Chuck on the right side
THIS IS A BLOG THAT TRIES TO APPEAL TO THE AVERAGE CONSERVATIVE CITIZEN AND HAS NO AGENDA OTHER THAN TELLING THE TRUTH AS WE SEE IT.
Maybe the answer to that headline would be by following the Joe Biden playbook as President? Since Joe Biden was sworn in, it has been economically downhill for our economy and the future prospects is that it is going go even lower.
Many people have been saving for their retirement, over the booming Trump years, by investing in their 401K plans and other retirement plans tied to the stock market. Well, in just 1 ½ years, the value of those retirement plans have been alarmingly reduced due to the anti-business policies and the incompetence of Joe Biden and members of his equally incompetent staff around him. From day one, after his inauguration, Joe Biden reversed most all of the policies of his predecessor, Donald Trump. Love him, hate him or loathe him, Donald Trump had the economy reaching new highs in employment, the stock market, and consumer confidence. Then along came the China pandemic and the vicious anti-Trump campaign by the Democrats, the media, and high tech companies to try to unseat him. They succeeded in replacing Trump with a cognitively challenged Joe Biden, and then they implemented their disastrous Marxist/Socialist policies which we are saddled with today. Joe Biden, a career politician, with over 40 years of government employment, and zero private business experience, has instituted policies bereft of any common economic sense or economic validity. In fact, his administration has among its ranks, advisers, academics, and career bureaucrats who only have a minimal amount of private business experience. It is estimated that only 5% or so of those in the Biden Administration have had private business experience. It seems that Biden, in making his appointments, was only interested in diversity (race, gender, sexual orientation etc.) in choosing his cabinet, aides, and economic advisers instead of appointing individuals with specific competencies. We are now suffering from his choice of “diverse” individuals lacking specific expertise. Being an arrogant, thick-headed individual, Biden refuses to change his modus operandi. The result is a record inflation that has reached 8.5% (a 41 year high) which has hit the poor and middle-class the most. Gasoline has now averaged over $5.00 per gallon (more than double than when Biden was sworn in, and it is predicted to go even higher). Some food staples have become scarce (baby formula etc,) and overpriced when they become available. The mortgage rates have more than doubled making the purchase of housing difficult for the average person. Many economists have predicted that we will be in recession by the next year, all because of the unwise disastrous economic policies of the Biden Administration. Most all reputable polls have shown that approximately 80% of the people feel that the country is going in the wrong direction, and Biden's favor ability rating is also going in the same downward direction, now in the 30's, even below the negative ratings of both Jimmy Carter and Donald Trump. Even though all indications of our economy being on the obvious negative side, Biden and his flunky's around him are going around claiming that we are in a booming economy. It boggles the mind, which makes one wonder what planet these people are living on? It seems that they are all clueless which reinforces the claim that the whole Biden Administration is run by a gaggle of incompetents. So, say goodbye your 401K and welcome your 101K (tongue in cheek). Hopefully, things will get better after the November mid-term elections when the Republicans regain the majority of both chambers of the legislative branch. We must bring sanity and competence back into our government or we'll become a 2nd rate country instead of the country that Ronald Reagan called the “Shining light on the hill”. To witness what is occurring in the United States today, one has to wonder if the people running the country are stupid.
What sane person would turn a blind eye to the invasion taking place at our southern border? It is expected that as many as two million illegals will have entered our country by the end of this year. In addition, the flow of deadly drugs has also accompanied many who have violated our immigration laws. Could that be considered the height of stupidity by officials not stopping the influx ? Next, we are faced with an inflation that is rapidly expanding by the week. Our government leaders seem to be oblivious as to how to confront this inflation. If you can believe it, our Secretary of the Treasury, Janet Yellin, has stated that she goofed up in not recognizing the inflation gripping our nation. Where has she been? Could it be the reckless spending by the Biden Administration? According to her and the President, that was not the problem, even though most economists have blamed the reckless printing of money by the Federal Reserve as the major reason for the cause of inflation. I guess you could call that stupid reasoning on the part of the Biden Administration. The spike of fuel oil and gasoline prices are devastating to the poor and middle-class, who are living paycheck to paycheck, which can be traced to the “stupid” policies by the Biden Administration declaring a “War on Fossil Fuels”, thinking that “green” energy would be able to take the place of fossil fuels in ten years. It's become almost a religion by the “Green New Deal” zealots in the Democrat Party. The price of gas has doubled since Biden was sworn in. At first, they claimed that it was “transitory”, but those were empty words as the average price is now going over $5.00 per gallon (it's over $7.00 in some parts of the country). As that famous philosopher, Forrest Gump once said, “Stupid is that stupid does”. Stupidity doesn't stop with our domestic policy, our foreign policy could also be classified as being stupid. Starting with the disastrous pullout from Afghanistan where 13 military were murdered and thousands of Americans and friendly Afghans were left behind, and $80 billion of military arms and equipment were left behind, which is now in the hands of of the Taliban. As of today, those left behind are still wallowing in Afghanistan under the brutal Taliban. How stupid is that? Another area where stupidity seems to be prevalent is in the area of wide spread crime that is sweeping the country. Over the past few years, that radical pariah, George Soros, a mega donor to the Democrat Party, has surreptitiously financed a whole gaggle of soft-on-crime District Attorney's around the country, mostly in Democrat controlled cities, thus causing havoc and mayhem causing an uptick in all types of crimes and misdemeanors. Since these radical D.A.'s had to be elected to their positions, you could say that the voters in those cities were exercising their stupidity by electing these soft-on-crime prosecutors. These radical D.A.'s have introduced policies such as, they refuse to arrest many criminals, many of whom have long police records and are crime recidivists, also, when arrested they let many criminals free on reduced or no bail, many of whom then commit further crimes while out on bail. Regular law abiding citizens fear for their safety and are fed up with this lawlessness. The once beautiful City of San Francisco has become more of a crime ridden, drug infested city under the representation of a George Soros sponsored District Attorney, Chesa Boudin, who carried out ridiculous policies of lax law enforcement. The citizens of San Francisco have finally awakened and recently recalled Boudin at the ballot box by a 60% to 40% margin. Maybe the era of stupidity might also be coming to an end in Los Angeles as the citizens of the city are prepping for a recall vote of their D.A., George Gascon, formerly of San Francisco and another one of George Soros' radical D.A.'s. Elections have consequences, therefore, it would be stupid if other radical, Soros backed D.A.'s are elected or re-elected in cities across the country. So voters, be careful who you elect to high government positions, especially district attorney's. Don't be STUPID. Conservative Commentary by Chuck Lehmann Murphy's Law definition: “Anything that can go wrong will go wrong”.
I may be wrong, but it seems everything that Joe Biden touches or says, has a tendency to be wrong – therefore he is the poster boy for Murphy's Law. Upon his swearing in as president, he immediately rescinded most all of President Trump's executive orders, including most that were working for the benefit of the American people. He canceled the Keystone pipeline; he canceled exploration of gas and oil exploration on federal lands including “fracking”; he stopped erection of the southern border wall with Mexico; he rescinded Trump's immigration policies that had reduced the number of illegals and the illegal poisonous drugs that were coming over the border etc. Well, how have those efforts by Biden turned out? Since Biden inherited the pandemic, one of his first acts were to order people to wear masks, in addition to close government agencies and put restrictions on private businesses. Schools were closed and remote learning took the place of face-to-face instruction in the classroom. To combat these draconian measures, he got passed in Congress massive spending measures which, as of now, has mainly caused the big uptick in inflation that we are now witnessing today. On the foreign policy front, he fared no better. Former Secretary of Defense under the Obama/Biden administration, Robert Gates, was reported to have said that Biden, during his 40 years in government was wrong on almost every foreign decision that came before him as a Senator and as Vice-President. It seems that Gates was prophetic as Biden has continued to be wrong with his foreign policy decisions as president. The pullout from Afghanistan in August of 2021, was particularly disastrous by his hasty withdrawal that resulted in 13 military personnel murdered, and the leaving of thousands of of Americans and friendly Afghans behind to the authority of the barbaric Taliban. In addition, it is estimated that $80 billion of military equipment was abandoned to the Taliban, which made them one of the best militarily equipped actors in the Middle East. To compound his bad decision in Afghanistan, through his loose lips and pronouncements, he gave impetus to people around the world, mainly from Central America, to enter our country illegally. Since his inauguration, the total number of illegals entering our country is approaching 2 million with no end in sight, along with the flood of poisonous drugs being smuggled in by the drug cartels. Fentanyl alone, is estimated to have killed over 100,000 people, yet neither Biden nor his Vice-President, Kamala Harris, have taken action to address the problems that their open border policies have wrought upon our country. Their inaction and refusal to acknowledge the crisis at our border speaks volumes of their lack of allegiance to America and the citizens they were sworn in to serve and protect. Due to his frail condition and his obvious cognitive impairment, he has a tendency to make inane comments (his notorious gaffes). He has become the laughing stock of the world and in the United States. He ran for President on a platform of being an experienced elder statesman and a unifier between the competing parties in Wash. D.C. So far, none of that has come to fruition. We are now more divided as a country than ever before. Besides the crushing inflation, and the out of control crime in most of our big cities, he seems to be oblivious to what is going on around him. President Biden seems to be beholden to the radical Marxist/Socialist arm of the Democrat Party, headed up by Bernie Sanders, AOC, and the Squad. It seems they have convinced Biden that we, as a nation, can transition from fossil fuels to using total “green” energy in about 10 years. It boggles the mind, that anyone would make such an erroneous commitment to try to put our fossil fuel companies out of business replaced by unreliable green energy. Yes, Joe Biden should be designated the “Poster Boy for Murphy's Law” because it seems that whatever could go wrong has gone wrong under his leadership. God help the United States. Conservative Commentary by Chuck Lehmann The awful truth of the murders at Buffalo, N.Y. and Uvalde, Texas is that they were both “gun free zones”. Look at the past carnage's that have taken place, and that same theme comes to the fore, people are sitting ducks in venues that proclaim to be “gun free zones”. The question is, if that is a problem, what can be done about it? The answers from our politicians is just emotional gibberish – ban the guns.
After every horrific event, the “gun grabbers” come out in force to lobby to get guns banned, mostly semi-automatic rifles and to condemn the NRA (National Rifle Association) and other pro-gun groups. Most all violent weapon murders are not committed by semi-automatic rifles. Other forms and means of murder which far outweigh the use of rifles are handguns, hammers, knives, bats, autos, poisonous drugs, and pressure cooker bombs etc. It should be noted that most all perpetrators of gun murders are not by NRA members, so banning guns is not the answer as it would leave the average legal gun-toting gun owner in the lurch in protecting himself or herself and their family from potential harm and possible death. We are bombarded in the media about these horrific senseless killings in a supermarket and a school, but you very seldom hear about the times legal gun owners have used their weapons to thwart a criminal from harming them or their family members. As they say, when seconds count, the police are only minutes away. That's a lifetime for anybody confronted with an armed or unarmed criminal intent on doing them harm. Since most gun related crimes are not committed by members of the NRA or other gun groups or clubs, it would be foolish to disarm legal, trained, law-abiding citizens of their Constitutional right to own and use a firearm. Go after the criminal not the gun. Look around the country today, where are most of the gun crimes being committed? Cities like Chicago, NYC, Los Angeles, Detroit, Baltimore, St. Louis etc. are cities run by ultra-liberal Democrat mayors and city councils, many with very strict gun control laws on the books. Back in the 1990's, then NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who took an active role in reducing excessive crime in his city, along with his Police Commissioner, Bill Bratten, when they instituted the “broken windows” approach to fighting petty crime, and the much maligned, by the liberals, “stop, ask, and frisk” policy, which removed many illegal guns off the street thereby reducing gun crimes and murders by more than 70%. Once liberal politicians took over and canceled those common sense crime thwarting laws, crime returned to those cities with a vengeance. Now we have a debate as to how we can cut down on these senseless murders. A much better health care system is needed to get potential criminals off the street and to try to rehabilitate them before they carry out future crimes. This, of course, will lead to cries of denying civil rights to those so designated with a mental problem. It is a slippery slope we must confront. Next is to have armed, trained citizens legally to be allowed in the now restricted “gun free zones” like schools, movie theaters, shopping malls, restaurants, churches, concert halls etc. In the schools we should have armed law enforcement personnel along with trained teachers and administrators and/or school personnel ready to go into action. Schools are very easy targets so with armed people present it might not fully protect the school, but it will mitigate the carnage done by a deranged murderer. It seems that when some terrible gun killing takes place, the anti-gun fanatics come out of the woodwork to advocate gun confiscation (ex: Beto O'Rourke of Texas, Democrat candidate for governor), instead of insisting that the gun laws already on the books be implemented, and by initiating reasonable gun programs, and by using legally trained gun owning citizens to help augment the police. Let's be real, you will never be able to stop a deranged individual from committing an horrific act, but we would lessen the amount of damage that a criminal would deliver. Lessen the number of “gun free zones” and you'll lessen the number of murders. That's Common Sense 101. Conservative Commentary by Chuck Lehmann Our country is facing a political crossroad, as had happened at the beginning of the Civil War when family and friends chose different paths to follow. It shaped the character of the two main parties in conflict (North and South), determining their stance between liberalism or conservatism, Democrat or Republican. Slavery and the post war aftermath scarred the Democrats by lynchings, the KKK and Jim Crow, and segregation, while the Republicans had carpetbaggers. In each case, the shoe is now on the other foot, labeling the conservatives' racists, and the Democrats compassionate and empathetic.
The truth being, Republicans are mostly disciplined and stand for individualism with limited government intrusion, while the Democrats are mostly undisciplined, stigmatized as the party of mediocrity, whom the mediocre flock to, because it rewards mediocrity, that requires little or no effort to care for themselves, relying on the government to take care of their needs. Everyone gets a trophy in the liberal utopia. Race, gender and unidentified sexes should not be the criteria in selecting appointees for government positions over others being more qualified. The traditional Democrat is slowly being replaced by radical progressives who are not interested in a more perfect union, but are bent on transforming the country of our founders into a potpourri of self interest projects, consisting of "Wokers", Cancel Culture, Black Lives Matter, Creative Race Theory, Occupy Wall Street, ANTIFA, The Green New Deal, all with a Marxist/ Socialist aroma. The Democrats old guard along with the Black Caucus, have been forced to play along with the progressives to maintain unity in the Democrat Party with the illusion, that America is a racist nation being kept alive by the radical Democrats and the media. All vying for who can sop up the most lucrative gravy from the racist pot. At the end of President Biden's four years, if he lasts that long, there won't be any trophies, unless they give out booby prizes for the worst administration in modern memory. Starting with bungling the end of the long Afghanistan campaign by a haphazard disorganized departure and the death of 13 U.S. military, and the fact that he left billons of dollars worth of arms and equipment behind for the Taliban to use. It was followed by "Biden's March to the Sea" with a slew of hatchet job executive orders reversing everything President Trump did that had the country in pretty good shape, by destroying everything that had us on solid ground in energy, the economy, jobs, foreign relations, security and prestige. The public is now realizing the mistakes of the past election. Something smelled rotten in Denmark when somebody who never left his Delaware basement to campaign tallied more votes than any previous presidential candidate in American history. On this account, all indications point to a sound defeat in the midterm elections for the Democrats, in both Houses, to carry over to the presidential election in 2024. If Elon Musk's takeover of Twitter happens, it is believed that most censorship will be a thing of the past, affecting Big Tech companies and the media from their monopoly on sources of information. If this combination comes to fruition, it will mean the return of the country to its people. Conservative Commentary by George Giftos |
