Chuck on the right side
THIS IS A BLOG THAT TRIES TO APPEAL TO THE AVERAGE CONSERVATIVE CITIZEN AND HAS NO AGENDA OTHER THAN TELLING THE TRUTH AS WE SEE IT.
Can you believe the nonsense that Bernie Sanders has come up with? This Marxist/Socialist has offered up the idea that everyone should have a job at $15 per hour. If a private sector job is not available, he proposes that the government will hire that person or put them on the government payroll. It looks like ole Bernie missed that Economics 101 class in school to be able to come up with that nonsense. Who, in their right mind, would support this cockamamie plan? Well, it looks like the brain-washed Millennials have latched onto this ridiculous plan of Bernie's. Remember what Sir Winston Churchill once said: “If your not a liberal before you're 20 you have no heart, but if you're not a conservative by the age of 40, you have no brains”. Those prescient words fit this group of Bernie and Hillary supporters to a tee.
This jobs-for-all plan is even backed by two 2020 Democrat presidential hopefuls, Sen. Kristen Gillibrand and Sen. Cory Booker. Do they really think that this “something for nuttin” proposal is going to mobilize the voters to vote for them to become president? They
must've cut the same Economics 101 class as Bernie?
This whole scenario shows why our schools have undermined our heritage as set down by our Founding Fathers. The United States was formed, quite ingeniously, on the idea that we would be a free enterprise capitalist country and it was and is the foundation for the United States becoming the pre-eminant country in the world today.
It seems that the majority of the Democrat Party has embraced this. train of thought that the government should be the be-all and end-all of all economic decisions. It is a fact that over 70 legislators are members of that group called the Democratic Socialists of America (a.k.a the Progressive Caucus). The leaders of the Democrat Party, Chairman Tom Perez and Vice-Chairman Keith Ellison are both adherents to this Socialist group and the socialist mindset. Do they really represent the Democrat Party or the voters of the United States? Other Democrat politicians, including Rep. Maxine Waters, and most of the members of the Congressional Black Caucus, have declared that they are believers of the Socialist principles of economics. Haven't they ever heard of Cuba and Venezuela? Is that what they want our country to become?
Remember, back in the presidential campaign of 2008, then candidate Barack Hussein Obama, proclaimed that he was in favor of “income redstribution” (the Robin Hood syndrome of taking from the rich to give to the poor), when he answered a question by “Joe the Plumber”. That thinking has become the main platform of today's Democrat Party.
During the primary and presidential election of 2016, both Bernie and Hillary were trying to outdo each other by proposing to give “freebies” to the voters in hopes of getting their votes. The people eventually rejected those proposals by electing a free enterprise populist, Donald Trump. So far, our economy has responded favorably to the decisions made by Pres. Trump. But, it seems that the successes of of this Administration has not rubbed off on the Democrats, as they keep lurching to the left. In doing so, I predict that the Republicans will prevail in the upcoming mid-term elections even though the “fake news media” has predicted a “Blue Wave” of Democrat victories this November. These were the same media outlets that predicted a “Blue Wall” would propel Hillary into the White House. The “Something for Nuttin” crowd will not prevail as the the voters would not want to go back to the economic malaise of the Obama Administration, especially after seeing the the extra spend money in their paychecks which Nancy Pelosi has signified as “crumbs”.
