Ignorance can be Cured, but Stupidity is Forever!

     If you'd listen to the far-left (a/k/a Democrats and Progressives), you'd think that President Trump was an aspiring dictator trying to emulate the dastardly deeds of Adolf Hitler. Do you think that TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) has infected those Trump haters, or do you think they have been infected with that other liberal disease called CRI (Cranial Rectal Inversion)?

    A rational person can disagree with someone and elucidate his/her disagreement with a counter argument. But, in today's climate of “good” and “evil” (ex: black and white), if you stray from the liberal orthodoxy, there is no “good” in what you say, only “evil”, and you must be shut up and vilified.

   Never in my many years, have I seen such blatant crudeness, ill manners, and outright untruthfulness, as I have observed over the past few weeks and months. The abject hatred of President Trump by the left is ratcheting up to a situation where violence against our president is becoming or has become the rule rather than the exception.

     Look at what some on the “left” have been saying and doing. It started the day after Trump's inaugural when Madonna said she'd like to burn down the White House because Trump now occupied it. Then we had the gruesome picture of Kathy Griffin, a 3rd rate comedian, holding up a bloody severed head of President Trump. It has continued non-stop with another 3rd rate talk show host, Samantha Bee using the “C” word (which rhymes with runt) in describing Ivanka Trump, and then we've had the spectacle of the cast of “Hamilton” purporting to slay Trump during a performance. Not to be outdone by this outrageous behavior, we had Robert DeNiro, on a number of occasions, slimming President Trump, with the recent outrage of him at the Tony Awards shouting out, “Fu.k Trump”. In addition, we saw that anti Trumper Bill Maher hoping we had a recession so that the people will vote President Trump out of office in 2020. And don't forget that fading actor, Peter Fonda, wishing that Barron Trump be taken away fro his mother and be put in a cage with pedophiles. And just recently, Homeland Security Secretary, Kirsten Nielsen and White House Press Secretary, Sarah Sanders, were heckled and refused service at restaurants who's owners oppose Trump's policies. When does normal, rational dissent end and outright viciousness begin?

     It seems that most all of this bad behavior is coming from the “left- side” of the political spectrum. Conservative speakers at colleges and public forums are routinely attacked and shouted down by people hell-bent on causing mayhem. Those are the same people who for years have been championing “free speech”, but it seems they only champion speech that agrees with their views. It shows a blatant exercise in “hypocrisy” by those people who preach tolerance but really practice intolerance.
      
      Where or when will this crudeness and vilification of others, who have opposing views, lead to in the future? Will we, in the future, be witnessing a revolution, not only of thought, but of actual physical violence against our political opponents?

       Our headline proclaims, “Ignorance Can Be Cured, but Stupidity is Forever” seems to fit the words and actions (the modus operandi) of a group of “far-left zealots”, who would like for our president to fail and our country to go to hell. They seem to want our country to emulate either Cuba or Venezuela. God forbid they should succeed.
